What Education is required for a Career in Medicine?
Since the variety of careers in medicine is so varied, the education required for each medical specialty is equally varied. Some careers in medicine can be pursued with little or formal education. Hospital line cooks, custodians, security personnel are examples of these positions. Many more careers in medicine require certificate courses or associates degrees. Some lab technician positions, radiology, and some nursing jobs would fit into this category. Most physical therapist jobs, nursing positions, nutritionist careers, and hospital administrators require a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
