Sonography is the use of non-radioactive imaging devices for diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The move toward more and more procedures that don't require the use of radioactivity is becoming increasingly popular. There are many ways to get into a career in sonography. Some hospitals and imaging centers do their own training. To begin with one of these institutions, all you would require is high school mathematics and sciences. Experience in other medical fields would be an asset.
